ESTAR (to be) is a very useful verb to learn.  Here is a list of some idioms / expressions with ESTAR:

 

Estar a sus anchas                               to be comfortable

Estar mojado hasta los huesos               to be soaked to the skin

Estar como un pez en el agua                to be right at home

Estar con el alma en un hilo                  to be in suspense

Estar de más                                       to be in excess
